Plot Summary of The Curse of the Pharaohs
"In the second Amelia Peabody mystery, set five years after _Crocodile on the Sandbank_, Amelia and Radcliffe are dying of boredom in England after their marriage (though not because of it) and the birth of their precocious son Walter Peabody Emerson (and certainly not because of him!), known affectionately as "Ramses." When Lady Baskerville appeals to Radcliffe Emerson to take up her late husband's dig where he left off, the couple rush off eagerly to Egypt. Lord Baskerville appears to have discovered an undisturbed royal tomb at Luxor, but Amelia soon suspects that neither his death nor the regular mishaps that occur at the site are accidents, nor are they the result of a pharaoh's curse."
