| Plot Summary of The Paris Option |
"What can happen if the newest, most powerful computer falls into the hands of terrorists? Robert Ludlum and Gayle Lynds give us a thrilling read while explaining just how exceptional this computer is. I really hope no one ever finds a way to develop a DNA computer. This is a novel in the Covert-One series featuring Dr Jon Smith, Randy Russell and Peter Howell. Russell is a CIA agent and Howell a retired SAS officer who frequently gets recalled to work for the British Secret Service. Smith's agency, Covert-One, is so secret the agents don't know each other and their boss, Nathanial Klien is answerable only to the President. When a French laboratory is blown up it is believed the DNA computer is destroyed along with its creator, Professor Emile Chambord. It soon becomes evident that the computer is in the hands of a very dangerous organisation when the communications systems of the United States becomes comprised. Smith, Russell and Howell meet up when their different sources lead them to the leader of a terrorist organisation know as The Black Shield. "
