Plot Summary of No Accounting for Murder
"Feisty Suzanne McTavish learns of the death of her 80 year-old client just 24 hours after she discovers that the woman's accounts have been raided. $2.4 million is missing. Death by natural causes says old Doc Spears. No way, says Suzanne.
She convinces authorities to autopsy, but before results are in, she digs up scandalous family secrets: infidelity, collusion, a murder twelve years old, and $1 million in gold. Motives abound and careers are at stake in tiny Barkerville, Oregon. Each of the five suspects wants her stopped. Which one is the killer?
Meanwhile, two men vie for her attention. One is eligible, the other is not; one is trustworthy, the other is dangerous. How does 50 year-old Suzanne handle romance while solving a crime?
