Plot Summary of Welcome to the World, Baby Girl!
"Dena Nordstrom, who is America's most popular female newcaster/journalist,is intelligent, ambitious and loves her work. Yet the change of TV news into sensationalism makes her question her career.

Dena has her own tough issues she has been dealing with for years. Her doctor recommends seeing a psychiatrist, Dr. Gerry O'Malley, and it's love at first sight for Dr. O'Malley, so he turns her over to Dr. Diggers instead. Dr. Diggers forces Dena to confront issues with her past, and finding out what really happened to her mother years before which is the real issue here.

When Dena falls gravely ill, she returns home to Elmwood Springs, Missouri to recover. It is there that she begins to search for roots to her past and discovers a shocking secret. In the meantime, Dr. O'Malley, who is deeply in love with Dena, helps her discover this path along the way and the truth all comes home. Dena embraces the little town of Elmwood Springs more and more in the book here, and her whole life changes for the best.
