"Jilly Meyers is saddled with a old house in Hollywood area and a sister that is one big pain. And despite everything telling her Coltaine, her father's new right hand man is bad news, a man who seems to move and take over their lives, Jilly is drawn to him. There is something very still about the man, a predator watching prey. He is there wearing a false face, looking for answers to the deaths that took place in the house decades ago, and won't stop until he gets his answers. Jilly's sister, Rachel provides the secondary romance in this story. She is spoiled, wilful and could care less, except about a boy she once loved."
