Plot Summary of Night Visitor
"Based upon a true incident in Scottish History about the Piper of Duntrune Castle, this book is a fantasy-time travel. Taffy, a photographer, is helping her uncle on an archaeology dig of Duntrune Castle. After she photographs the bones unearthed, letting everyone know the legend of the Piper of Duntrune was true, she becomes obsessed with visions of the Piper, killed after his hands were cut off, because from the top of a castle, he play the bagpipes warning that the enemy had take Duntrune Castle.

Since she and the Piper are both of Faery Blood, the Faeries send her back in time to rescue the doomed Piper. "
