Plot Summary of The Shy Tulip Murders
"A group of dedicated environmentalists is pitted against the logging industry in a battle to prevent destruction of California's forests. Botanist Clare Sharples helps the environmental activists by locating a rare wildflower, the shy tulip, in the area where the trees are to be cut, and the group hopes that this discovery will delay the start of logging in the area. Threats are made against the activists, and one of them is murdered. Clare must find the murderer because she fears that she will become a victim, too."
Linda Bertland, Resident Scholar
