Plot Summary of Self-Defense
"This book is about Dr. Alex Delaware trying to help a 20 something girl, who wa a juror in a murder trail get past her nightmares. He realized through hypnosis, that the "nightmares" are in fact something that took place at her estranged fathers cabin over 20 years ago. In trying to find out the turth, they discover, along with the help of Detective Stergis, that at least one murder, maybe more has taken place becasue of what happened 20 years ago. Many twists and turns, that conclude with a great and appropriate ending. I have read almost all of the Alex Delaware novels and find it hard to put any of them down until I am finished. This book is no exception. A must read!!"

"Lucy Lowell was on the jury of the agonizing trial of a serial killer. A reoccurring nightmare of a girl being carried into the woods sent her to seek the help of Dr. Alex Delaware, a psychologist. Dr. Delaware believed it was more then just a nightmare. Alex's friend, Detective Milo Sturgis, looked into old police records. There was an unsolved missing persons report from about the same time they expected the dream to have taken place. The photo of the girl matched the girl of Lucy's dream. The further they explored the dream, the more complicated things got. Dr. Delaware had numerous theories of how things went down that summer twenty- one years ago. However, with each step closer they got to figuring out the mysteries of times past, things got more and more dangerous. Little did Dr. Delaware know this one dream would uncover a year full of mysterious murders.
This was an exciting, fast paced novel. There are many twist and turns; it keeps you on the edge of your seat till the very end. Kellerman did an excellent job with this action-packed novel. "
