| Plot Summary of Stargate |
"Based on the movie. A somewhat wimpy Egyptologist who holds the theory that the Pyramids and the Sphinx are much older than believed is contacted by a military program to operate a dimensional portal found in Egypt. A tormented marines officer is sent to head the project. They go to the other side and find a civilization of humans descended from Ancient Egypt, forced to serve an alien who was Ra, the Egyptian god of the sun, and who gave the Ancient Egyptians their culture. The humans must overthrow Ra and figure out how to operate the gate on the other side and get back to Earth."
