Plot Summary of Dinotopia: Rescue Party
"This book takes place in the world of Dinotopia, where humans and dinosaurs live in harmony. Loro desperately wants to go explore other places in Dinotopia, but everyone thinks it's too dangerous. They all say he should wait until he's older. However, when he and his friends see a hot air balloon go down in the jungle, he sees an opportunity. Convinced that they are the only ones who can save whoever was in the balloon, Loro, Ria, and Trentor go into the jungle. Unfortunately, they find themselves hunted by Velociraptors and Giganotosauruses before they even find the balloon."
Melissa Cookson, Resident Scholar
