Plot Summary of Cast a Long Shadow
"Elizabeth Coyote needs a husband in order to hold the ranch her father left her. Unfortunately, the husband she's got isn't the one to do it. She's simply going to have to trade him in for a newer and better model. Enter Asa MacIntyre, a man with a reputation for honesty and shoulders that might just be broad enough to carry the burden she's inherited.

Asa's dream has always been to have a ranch of his own and a lady for wife. Having been on the wrong side of the paycheck for too many years, he never thought he'd have anything to show for his life until Elizabeth Coyote came walking in and offered him the chance of a lifetime.

Now, can these two make their new partnership work…and discover who has been conniving to ruin Elizabeth's ranch?"
