| Plot Summary of Rogue Warrior : Red Cell |
"Marcinko stumbles across American Nuclear devices in the hands of Koreans and 'interrupts' the party. The devices were supplied by the U.S Government and Marcinko wants to discover who in the Government is the Traitor. Numerous characters appear from his past in the Navy SEALs but all point to one man and Marcinko takes things into his well scared 'paws' to bring the person to justice.... the Rogue Warriors justice!"

"The story begins with Dickie working as a freelance security expert, performing a security assessment at an international airport in Japan. While there, he uncovers a group of Americans supplying Koreans (and Japanese) with nuclear detonators, which turn out to be stolen from nuclear-tipped Tomahawk missiles.
The trail leads Marcinko back to former Secretary of Defense Grant Griffith, a powerful man who still packs significant clout with the politicians and particularly with the defense industry. Dick is eventually recalled to active duty by Admiral Pinky, his nemesis from many of the other books in the Rogue Warrior series, and put back in command of Red Cell, Marcinko's brainchild unit which had formerly been used to infiltrate the Navy's most 'secure' installations in order to demonstrate the need for better security. By calling on his "support network" of old NCO friends, Red Cell (which by now has fallen into complete disarray) is able to investigate the problem by sneaking into military bases in the US, conducting a recon mission in the Pacific, and assaulting a ship carrying stolen nukes in the middle of the ocean. "Richard Marcinko is a retired Navy Seal who is working as a counter-terrorism consultant. He is involuntarily recalled to active duty to command Red Cell, a band of hard edged Navy Seals. Their mission is to test the counterterrorism capabilities of US government installations. They stumble upon a plot to steal nuclear weapons that involves some of the highest echelons in the Defense Dept.
They quickly move from the East coast to California to the Asian theater doing double duty as counterterrorism consultants and counterterrorism investigators. Marcinko is a "no prisoners" action hero who quickly becomes persona-non-grata with the Feds, Navy, and Defense dept because he starts leaving too many tango bodies behind during his investigation.
Marcinko uses chronological narrative to keep the pace moving. He also uses flashbacks to describe important characters in his life, his "sea-daddys" and fellow SEALS who helped sharpen his sense of duty.
