The book deals with the onslaught of an alien ecological invasion of earth. The main character James McCarthy, is a young man with anger, arrogance, and frustration as his only way of communicating with other people. The story revolves around his anger and how he begins to develop as a human being. The book is well worth reading again and again, if only for the insights the author has on his character development. As for the ecological infestatio...
