Babyville is about the lives of three women dealing with relationships, careers, and children. They each have specific goals in life, and when surprises and/or difficulties come up, things have to change. This book details real life issues with a humorous twist. Bookends (Literature) Cath, Si, and Josh have been friends since college and when Josh married Lucy, they immediately accepted her into the group. Now another friend, Portia, is back in the mix, though the others aren't sure if she has ulterior motives. Cath and Lucy take a leap of faith and start their own bookstore, Bookends, and everyone seems to be going through crises both individually and as a group. A poignant story about friendship, love, betrayal, and loss. Desperate to meet him, she wises up and loses weight and heads to Cali., and ends up finding out that being thin has its disadvantages as well.
