Distant Thunder
Somewhere in Japan's back country, Mitsuo Wada, a young farmer, is suffering. His father has separated from his mother and left the house to be with a barmaid. Greedy land developers want to buy out his remaining land, a hothouse where he grows tomatoes for sale. A housewife from a nearby new apartment complex seduces him, only to be revealed that she was married...
One fine day, he does an arranged marriage meeting and meets Ayako, who becomes his life...
