| Plot Summary of The Leap |
"Yuppie meets internet in one of the worst books I have read in ages. Tom Ashbrook, an editor at The Boston Globe hits midlife as dawn breaks on the info superhighway. He struggles with "is this all there is?" as if no one in the world has asked this question before. He forms a partnership with a fellow Yalie and agonizes over taking a "leap" into internet startup limbo. What could have been an interesting look at how one does such things, degenerates into baby booming whining. There is one good thing about this book--read it if you want to know how NOT to act as you hit 40."
