| Plot Summary of Beneath the Skin |
"Nicci French explores the true vunerability of women who are alone - be it single women, or women who are lonely. The villian is obsessed with 3 women who appear to have nothing in common, except for a "loneliness" that he is attracted to. He stalks them, watches their every move & learns their secrets. Once he learns their weaknesses, he kills them. This book unnerved me as I began to think look over my shoulder wondering if anyone was watching my private moves!!! Chilling & thought provoking - you can't leave it alone, the novel wills stay with you long after you put it down. "

"There are three women with no apparent connections. One man is emotionally tormenting them all, bringing them together. And though each disregards the threats initially, the continuing increase in the number and maliciousness of the threats has them looking at everyone they know as the potential stalker."
Sarrah, Resident Scholar
