| Plot Summary of Midnight in Ruby Bayou |
"A large, valuable ruby known as the Heart of Midnight is stolen from a Russian museum & goes missing. The Russian mafia thinks an American jewelery designer has the gem & are intent on recovering it...at any cost. The story centers on the female designer & her male bodyguard, hired by her brother. They end up in Ruby Bayou in South Carolina, which is his boyhood home. She has been commissioned to design a necklace for her friends wedding. They begin putting the pieces of the puzzle together to discover who has the ruby & why. The storyline is a good mixture of suspence/mystery & romance."
