"Ace marine troubleshooter Dirk Pitt is back! In this exciting instalment in a long running and popular series. Pitt investigates the mysterious disappearance of a cruise ship in Alaska which is causing an environmental disaster. Once he uncovers secrets surrounding the ship's disappearance, he is faced with further peril as the President's yacht sails into fog and vanishes. Soon, Pitt uncovers a deadly conspiracy by a wealthy industrialist to destabilize the US government by means of forceful coercion. The story moves to Lousiana, where he uncovers the enemy's operations and has to wage a desperate battle using any means necessary to save the country from enemy hands."
