"Captain MacKenzie Calhoun of the starship Excalibur is called on to infiltrate a conspiracy to destroy the entire Federation. In the process, he encounters the man who killed his father and must decide wether to kill him or not. Meanwhile, the other crewmembers of the Excalibur try to find out what the conspiracy is planning and find a cure for the disease it has created."
