|Plot Summary of The Reptile Room - A Series of Unfortunate Events 2|
In the second book of unfortunate events for the Baudelaire orphans,they are sent to stay with an uncle who has a lab full of reptiles. This uncle is actually nice to them and they enjoy him until Count Olaf is in the picture again. He manages to fool the good uncle and get hired as his assistant. He then thinks up a plan that will do away with the good uncle and he will wisk the children away to another country to do them harm and get their fortune.

Once Againg the Baudelaires are back. They live with their new gurdian Uncle Monty, and for the first time they were happy. But you know that won't last. Then Count Olaf arrives and has a horrible plan to get rid of Uncle Monty.

The Baudelaires are back, and so are their problems. Mr. Poe has found them a home with Uncle Monty, who proves to be a jolly soul, fond of sweets and reptiles and - surprise of surprises - even the orphans. Those who know the Baudelaires will know that such a fortuitous circumstance cannot last, and indeed it does not. Count Olaf appears on the scene, disaster results, and the Baudelaires are once again fleeing for their lives.
