"Cry Wolf is a murder mystery about a young lawyer who has fled her job and life in Georgia after losing a career shattering case.. Laurael Chandler has returned to her Louisian Bayou roots to regroup, only to find that a killer has taken to murdering young women of questionable reputations. Laurel is confronted by Jack Boudreax, an ex-lawyer turned fiction writer. She and Jack are thrust into a heated affair.
After Laurel's own sister is missing, she begins to question odd trinkets that have been placed for her to find. It's as if the killer is beckoning her to find him. Jack is, of course, suspect number one, because whomever has killed the young women in this small town and adjacent towns decided to use Jack's murder scenes as a model for his own. Now Laurel has to prove Jack's innocence while she searches for justice. "

"Cry Wolf is a story of a young woman, Laurel Chandler, who is haunted by her past. She returns to the Looisiana bayou where she grew up as a child with her sister, Savanna Chandler. During her time there, she learns of a murderer that kidnaps women of questionable reputations and murders them. Laurel is determined to find the killer and bring him to justice even though many doubt her abilities. While searching for the killer, she falls in love with Jack B., and her relationship with him deepens as she fights against it. During the story, Laurel has flashbacks of her childhood and after her sister Savanna is killed, Laurel is even more determined to bring the killer to justice. Laurel suspects a few people of being the killer, including Reverend Jimmy Lee Baldwin, and tells the sheriff of her suspicions. Shortly after this happens, Jimmy Lee goes to the sheriff and tells him that he believes Jack is behind the killings. Laurel finds out and is upset, but by using the clues that the killer left her, she discovers who is behind it all. Now all she must do is prove the killer guilty and not be hurt in the process."
