Hollywood, California's Robyn Stafford is hiking near Wales to recover from the shock of learning that her lover is married when she runs into a muddied knight. The full armored individual claims to be the Earl of March Edward Plantagenet. Robyn somehow has traveled back in time to 1459 where England is embroiled in the War of the Roses civil war.
At first sight Edward believes Robyn is an effeminate male due to her twenty-first century chic short hair and her sweatpants. He is a bit stunned when she uses a cell phone and shares the sweet tasting granola bar with him. Before they separate, he steals a kiss from Robyn whom he now knows is quite a woman. In her own time, Robyn learns that Edward is under a spell that one day will bring them back together.
Fans of time travel romance will enjoy this whimsical fantasy. The characters are fun to observe especially the lead duo's feelings of inadequacy and non-synchronization when living in the century of their beloved. That along with a resplendent look at fifteenth century England makes the story line entertaining as the reader believes in displacement spells. R Garcia Y Robertson paints an enticing story that sub-genre fans will find irresistible and want more novels from this talented writer.
