Plot Summary of The House of Thunder
"A woman wakes up in a hospital with amnesia and assumes she's in the U.S., when, in fact, she's in Russia. She is tormented by events from her own past and events presently happening in the hospital."
Monica Hughes, Resident Scholar

"Susan woke up in a hospital in a town she had never seen before, and realized she had no idea who she was. She had amnesia, but once her memories came back to her she realized she remembered everything about herself except how she got into the accident that landed her in the hospital, and she had no recollection of her job. Susan was haunted by a past that saw her college boyfriend killed by racist fraternity boys, and her desperate attempt to escape. Now ten years later she ran into the boys from that dreadful night one by one during her hospital stay. She struggled between a world of nightmares and reality and didn't know which was which. She uncovers the horrifying truth about what can happen when people start experimenting with brainwashing and mind control. "
