| Plot Summary of The Guardian |

"Mike McAulliffe, a lonely obsessed workaholic, is working on some very important technology. And though he doesn't know it, this technology will help to save the existence of the star people, thousands of galaxies away. But will he survive long enough to complete this project, or will the evil Others get to him first?
The star people send Ava, a woman of great courage and unique powers, to be Mike's guardian. It is her job to keep him alive until he can complete his revolutionary new technology.
As Ava and Mike struggle to complete their mission in time, they find that they are battling more than dangerous foes. Mike also has to fight his urge to give into his love for his beautiful bodyguard, as she also tries to fight her temptation for him. Once the mission is over, will Ava be free to stay with Mike, or will the star people demand her service once again?
