| Plot Summary of Dangerous Beauty |
"This is the story of a fellow who guides people through the African wilderness, and the time when some of the people he guided got molested and killed by rebel soldiers. The book focuses mostly on his life watching animals and guiding tourists, but is sandwiched with some account of the time when the rebels came."

"A book that will make you want to go visit Africa right away. Slightly awkwardly written at places, but the knowledge and the drama more than make up for it. The Bwindi tragedy is used as bookends, and within it, chapter after fascinating chapter about the safari life unfolds. I would take a safari with Mark anyday, though I doubt if he would take me on one!
