Plot Summary of World of Wonders
"Okay, romance isn't really so much a plot point as it is a sigle element among many. This book is the confession of a world famous magician. He is telling the story of his life to a collection of people to whom he has various kinds of relationship. And what a story it is! Good, evil, the nature of humanity, it's got it all."
Sparkee, Resident Scholar

"In this final book of Davies' trilogy, famed illusionist Magnus Eisengrim is cast in the starring role in a film about French illusionist Robert-Houdin. During filming, Magnus stays at a Swiss castle with his old friends Liesl and Ramsay. There, Magnus' tells his entire life story, with frequent interruptions by Ramsay and Liesl. Magnus tells of his early illicit trip to a fair, where he was abused and then taken along with the travelling show. The illusionist explains how he worked with many poor and disastrous travelling shows before becoming one of the greatest illusionists of his time. As Magnus' story unfolds, his true relationship with Ramsay and Liesl is revealed. "
