| Plot Summary of Onward Peregrinos |
"Glover, an American adventurer, marries Maria, his Ecuadorian bride, and they return to his family home in Florida. Maria struggles to learn her husband's language and culture. They eventually settle in the Panama Canal Zone where Niza grows up at her father's side hunting in the jungle. She feels the pain of racial prejudice and is determined to prove her own worth to the world. She accomplishes everything she sets out to do, and along the way adopts a village in Baja, saves lives, and marries an adoring man who follows her adventures around the world."
