"Serena absolutely had to enter the swamp she had feared her entire life to find her grandfather. Something not-quite-right was going on at his plantation, and she needed him to take control of the situation. He refuses and sends her back to civilization with Lucky, an anti-social introvert with a sticky, shaded past that Serena isn't sure she wants to dig into, but finds herself unable to resist."
