| Plot Summary of The Love Knot |
"Oliver Pascal returns home from prilgrimage in 1140, to discover England ravaged by civil war. Among the surviviors are a young boy and his widowed nurse, Catrin. They have a lot in common and soon marry, but their happiness is shortlived.
Catrin's husband hasn't died at all, and he returns to claim his property.
Catrin is secretly trained in the art of midwifery, but she has to hide her knowledge for fear of being called a witch, but someone is going to discover her secret..."
