| Plot Summary of Time's Fool |
"The first book in The Tales of the Jeweled Men series.
Captain Gideon Rossiter returned to England with one goal in mind: to marry his beloved, Lady Naomi Lutonville. After a six year absence, he was completely unaware of the turmoil his family had been through while he was gone. On his arrival, he discovered that his betrothal to Naomi had been dissolved and she had no desire to change that fact. Sick at heart and wondering what on earth had happened to change her feelings for him, he endeavored to find his family. When he was told, through a somewhat odd series of events, that his father had been finacially and socially ruined during his absence, he wasn't quite sure who to attack first. Enlisting the aid of his new friend Lieutenant James Morris along with several old friends who were willing to stand by him despite the scandel, he went in search of the truth behind his father's financial ruin. What they discovered would forever change their lives and endanger themselves and everyone they loved."
Laura J. Miller, Resident Scholar
