Plot Summary of Anne of the Island
"Anne and Gilbert leave for Redmond. Gilbert loves Anne but she does not realize her love for him. When he proposes to her, she refuses. She then falls in 'love' with someone else and becomes jealous when Gilbert starts going out with someone else. Finally she realizes her love for Gilbert when she is threatened with his loss. "
