Plot Summary of Mind Prey
"An influential psycologist and her 2 daughters are kidnapped. It's up to Lucas Davenport & the Minneapolis Police department to find them, before their captor becomes their killer. I have read all of the "Prey" books, and this one was another twisted, suspenseful quick read. Sandford's villians can always be counted upon to commit brutal, evil crimes."
Caroline Thompson, Resident Scholar

"Therapist Andi Manette and her two young daughters were having a normal day until they were kidnapped and shoved in the back of a van. Andi tries to use her psychiatric knowledge but the kidnapper reveals his well thought out plan.

The kidnapper has made provisions for his three hostages frightening Andi even more. He keeps them locked in what she thinks is a basement, with a mattress, and food. He now wastes no time acting out his violent sexual fantasies on Andi.

As time passes, the kidnapper becomes increasingly violent, beating her each time he rapes her. As Andi loses touch with reality, his interst turns to Andi's twelve year old daughter. Deputy Chief Lucas Davenport uses Andi's patient files to discover who the kidnapper is and begans to set a trap for the unsuspecting criminal."

Tracey Ray, Resident Scholar
