Plot Summary of Lord of the Far Island
"Ellen Kellaway was a young girl who grew up with her disapproving Aunt. She became engaged to one of the most eligible bachelors in town, but mysteriously, that marriage never took place. To recover from her loss, Ellen traveled to The Far Island to be with some family members whom she had only just met. There she meets with betrayal and intrigue. She must then decide whom she can trust."

"Ellen Kellaway was determined to learn about her past. Raised by her Cousins William and Agatha Loring, she was always treated as the poor relation. But with her unquenchable spirit and determination to get the most out of life, she soon starts on an exciting adventure to uncover the secrets surrounding her past.

When she turns 18 years of age Ellen is informed by her Cousin Agatha that she has been living on charity long enough, and she must take a post as governess to Cousin Agatha's friend, the Honorable Mrs. Oman lemming. But she is rescued by her handsome childhood friend Phillip Carrington, with a proposal of marriage. Wanting to escape from her present delemma, but knowing in her heart she does not love Philip, she accepts his proposal. But a mysterious tragedy stops the preparations for the wedding and puts Ellen back in the position of Cousin Agatha's poor relation.

All seems lost untill Ellen receives a letter from the mysterious Jago Kellaway who claims to be her gaurdian and the Lord of The Far Island, Ellen's Family home. He invites her to come to the Far Island to meet her family. Ellen immediately packs her bags and journeys to Kellaways Island, off the coast of Cornwall. She is immediately attracted by Jago Kellaway. And while she finds herself falling in love whith him, she also begins to uncover some frightening secrets about her past and about the mysterious Jago himself. "
