| Plot Summary of The Spring of the Tiger |
"After Sarah Ashington's actress mother dies, she is taken in by her father's family. When she finally meets her father, she becomes entranced by his stories of his plantation in Ceylon. She is also intrigued by his associate and friend Clinton Shaw. Through a series of events, Clinton successfully coerces Sarah to marry him. After they marry, Sarah learns what a huge mistake she made. Not only is her husband selfish and domineering, she begins to think he might be trying to kill her."
