Plot Summary of A Desperate Passion
"This is the autobiography of a courageous and inspiring woman: an Australian pediatrician and concerned mother who started out writing an angry letter to the editor of the local newspaper about French nuclear tests in the South Pacific, and went on to lead the fight against atomic bombs and nuclear energy all over the world as the first president of Physicians for Social Responsibility. The story details the effects on her personal life, political infighting, her own fears and insecurities. Dr. Caldicott is a great citizen of Earth."
David Loftus, Resident Scholar
