Plot Summary of Letters From a War Zone, Writings 1976-1989
"This is perhaps Dworkin's hardest hitting collection of essays. Most of them are about pornography, the issue on which she made her name, but there are also pieces about Tennessee Williams, _Wuthering Heights_, and more general feminist topics. Dworkin is a powerful rhetorician ("Men love death"; "men believe ... they have the right to rape"; "Feminism is dying here because so many women who say they are feminists are collaborators or cowards"), and an interesting prose stylist -- certainly worth reading if only to test the strength of one's own ideas against hers."
David Loftus, Resident Scholar
