Plot Summary of Guardians of the West - The Malloreon 1
"Garion has grown up, defeated Torak, taken the throne of Riva, and gotten married to a willful young lady. Now, as the leader of the west, he needs to break up squabbles and civil wars. Then, as he runs of to break up a civil war and keep a few friends from getting killed, his infant son is kidnapped."

"King Belgarion and Queen Ce'Nedra seem are beginning to become farther apart and she still has not given Garion a child to guard the Orb of Aldur. Meanwhile, Eriond, a remarkable child, is growing up in the Vale with Polgara and Durnik as they begin their marraige. When Ce'Nedra does give birth their child is abducted, presumably by the Bear cult. Garion begins an attack but discovers that the child was abducted by Zandramas, and they absolutely must get him back because the prophesy tells them of the evils that could come about!"
