"The story follows the experiences of a group of Arctic explorers who are on a mission to blast off an iceberg from the ice cap but unfortunately get trapped on ice when a tsunami occurs. Two further problems are that the detonation charges are sealed in the ice and that there is a murderer amongst them. Who that is becomes evident and the yarn just rockets along with the addition of a Russian submarine rescue mission."

"Scientists in Russia learned that the water constituiting the icecaps have much lower bacteria than any water. American scientists, Drs. Harold and Rita Carpenter gathered a team of colleagues to learn more about the discovery. Their plan was simple yet dangerous.
Sixty synchronized charges were drilled into the icecap and set to detinate by midnight. The plan was that the explosion would blow away a small portion of the ice berg setting it adrift where it would later be towed by a trawler to a conversion facility.
Immediately after planting the last charge, a tidal wave occurred causing the berg to brake apart from base camp. Now, the team is set adrift on the section with the explosives. As they reconnoiter, they discover that one of their own is a psychopath. Someone among them has tried to kill a fellow scientist.
Their only hope of rescue is a Russian submarine just miles away. As they make desperate plans with the Russians to escape the berg before detination, they must also try to discover who is the killer among them before attempting their risky rescue."
