"Along a deserted Kansas highway, eight deaf girls and their teachers are taken hostage by three prison escapees. FBI hostage negotiator, Art Potter, is called in. Over 12 suspensful hours, not only does Potter have to worry about the criminals inside, but also the the very people who are outside, either the media or the government officials, who all have their own agendas. Only in the exciting climax does Potter put the pieces together, solving an almost unbelievable puzzle."
