| Plot Summary of The Murders of King Richard III |
"Jacqueline is in England on vacation to visit her friend Thomas. Thomas loves her company, and when it is time for Jacqueline to leave, Thomas invites her to a Ricardian meeting, where there will be many modern admirers of the infamous Richard III. There, her expertise can be used to verify a document which is vital to King Richard III's reputation. This letter could possibly clear Richard III of various murders which he has been charged with. Apprehensive at first, Jacqueline accepts.
The two friends arrive at a remote English mansion where they are greeted by members of the society. Jacqueline meets all of the members, including a loving couple, an plump mother, a mischievous child, a caring doctor, and an unexpected guest. The host insists everyone must stay the weekend, during which they roll-play, each person assuming the identity of a historical figure close to Richard III.
But, the role playing gets a little out of hand when some characters get attacked in an order which mimics the way their figure was attacked. With the press outside and their reputations at stake, the police are not called in fear of making themselves look like idiotic historians. Jacqueline, not having a role, finds herself in the middle of a series of crimes that could end violently. She must solve the murders of King Richard III.
