Plot Summary of A.K.A. Goddess
"Magdalene Sanger has been hearing tales of godesses and female empowerment since she was a child. The females in her family come from an ancient line of women known as the Grail Keepers, who protect ancient chalices belonging to former godesses. These chalices are known to have enlightening powers for females, and are therefore feared by many men.
Maggi is a professor of mythology, and as a result of this she studies many of the mythical godesses who owned the grails that she is sworn to protect. When her home and office are broken into and the only things taken are files concerning one of these godesses, it becomes clear to her that someone is trying to find one of the chalices. Maggi makes it her mission to find it first.
Matters become complicated when her old on-again, off-again boyfriend, Lex Stuart gets involved. Maggi and Lex have been best friends since childhood, but Maggi has never been able to completely trust him. When he shows up unexpectedly in Europe with information that he shouldn't have concerning Maggi's quest, Maggi suspects that he may be in league with the group out to destroy the godess grails. Maggi knows that she can't trust Lex, but she can't seem to make herself stay away from him. To top it all off, Maggi finds herself unexpectedly attracted to an ex-priest who is helping her search for the chalice.
As Maggi's search progresses, the situation becomes increasingly dangerous. Multiple attempts are made on her life, and she has no idea who she can trust. Maggi needs the help of Lex, the man she loves, but she is very afraid of what Lex will want from her in return for his aid. Can she really trust him, or is he her true enemy?"
