Plot Summary of One More Chance
"27 year old Latisha Fenshaw has just received the shock of her young life when she discovers that her boyfriend, Graham Jefferson, is a married man. Although Latisha is shattered by the news, the one bright spot on the horizon is that Graham has given Latisha the deed to the home they vacationed at in Rye, New York. Latisha has headed to the farmhouse in Rye in order to lick her wounds and contemplate her future without Graham. Latisha receives a stunning surprise when an attractive man shows up at the house and announces that he is the actual owner of the property.   The man introduces himself as Bren Hunter and tells Latisha that her former lover played a nasty trick on her and that he is the actual owner of the home. Stunned by the news, Latisha chides herself for being a fool and makes plans to head to her sister's house in Florida. Before she departs New York, Latisha discovers that Graham's real name is Alan Clayton and that he is married to Bren's sister. Three months later Latisha is on the island of Tortoga chairing a benefit on board her father's yacht when she lays eyes again upon Bren Hunter. Latisha cannot believe that they are meeting again under such exotic circumstances. Latisha discovers that Bren is a celebrated politician and that he is on the island to support a non-profit organization. Latisha also discovers that Alan and his wife are also on the island and that his wife is pregnant, having conceived the child when Alan/Graham was dating Latisha. Although dismayed by Bren's affiliation with Alan, Latisha finds herself attracted to the handsome politician. Likewise, Bren finds himself pulled towards Latisha, although he knows she is carrying a lot of baggage from her relationship with Alan. ."
