| Plot Summary of The Royal Love Child |

"Danette Michaels is an employee of Scorsolini Shipping Company and she is carrying on a secret affair with the company's boss and prince, Marcello Scorsolini. At first she is happy with the privacy and secrecy of their relationship. Marcello is a wonderful and attentive lover. Despite his playboy image, he seems to be faithful to Danette. However when a tabloid newspaper prints a picture of Marcello and a beautiful blonde dancing together in his father's party, Danette is jealous and feels betrayed. She doesn't want to remain a secret in Marcello's life any longer and she tells him so. But Marcello is adamant about keeping their affair a secret because he has a traumatic experience where his first wife has been sent to her death by the vicious and intrusive paparazzi that hounds them both when they were married. Danette understands Marcello's feelings about the paparazzi but she still feels hurt because maybe Marcello is ashamed of her and he is still considered fair game even when having an exclusive relationship with Danette since he doesn't introduce to her to the public. What hurts her more is that he also isn't inclined to introduce her to his family. When Danette becomes accidentally pregnant, Marcello is elated and insists to marry Danette immediately. Marcello has sterility problems and Danette's pregnancy is a joyous and welcome miracle to him. Danette however doesn't want to marry him feeling that he proposed to her out of obligation. Because prior to her pregnancy, Marcello has made it clear to her that their relationship is temporary and marriage is out of the question. When Marcello tells her that he loves her, Danettte is still not convinced because during one of their conversation he tells her that he will not love another woman except his first wife. Despite pressure from both of his parents, Danette is still confused about her decision. Marcello has even accused her that her love for him is not real at all since she refuses to marry him. Only when she has discovered that Marcello will do everything to protect her even shouldering alone all the nasty things that the tabloids has said to them that she realizes how much Marcello loves her. "
