| Plot Summary of Kiss and Tell |

"Leila Hunt returns to her hometown in Sunrise Key to celebrate New Year's Eve with her brother and friends. She is despondent when her boyfriend Elliot won't be able to come with her or join the party later because he is tied up with his work. Leila doesn't know why she still puts up with Elliot when she knows in her heart that she doesn't love him at all. At the party they are dressed in costumes. When the countdown for New Year is starting, she is suddenly kissed by a mysterious person in ninja costume. Leila has never been kissed like that before and she knows that whoever is behind that kiss is her soulmate. She vows to find that man. Marshall Devlin finally has had the opportunity to kiss Leila. He has been in love with her since she has been a teenager. But he hides his attraction to her under the constant teasing he does on her which she has interpreted as being smug and annoying. He has been amazed to find out that Leila has rated the kiss the best kiss of her life. Instead of coming forward to identify himself as the ninja, he steps back because whatever he says Leila won't believe it and will refuse to accept him as the kisser.
Leila comes up with 5 men who have dressed up as ninjas that New Year's eve. One by one she eliminates the candidates. She dates them and tries to kiss them. All the while during her search, she bumps into Marshall, who has temporarily taken up residence in their home when his house has been caught on fire. She ignores the attraction between them although it sizzles when they are both near each other. She has been convinced that she has her ninja when she dates Hayden Young, who is a handsome and well-mannered gentleman. Marshall is devastated when Leila starts dating Hayden. He knows Hayden is perfect and he doesn't stand a chance against him. He yearns to tell Leila that he is the ninja. He is also miserable when Leila refuses to acknowledge the attraction between them and she tries to pair him off with one of her friends. But during an unguarded and vulnerable moment, Leila sleeps with Marshall. When she later finds out that he is her ninja after all, she is upset that he must have been making fun of her during her search. But Marshall confesses to her that he loves her and is afraid that she will reject him if she finds out he is the one who has kissed her. Leila has been wrong about Marshall the whole time and she loves him back when he finds out his deep feelings for her.
