| Plot Summary of Forever Blue |
"Lieutenant Blue MacCoy returns back to his hometown for his stepbrother's wedding. Everybody in the town is fascinated with what he will do since his stepbrother Gerald will be marrying the woman Blue has loved. But when he gets there he is reacquainted with Lucy Tait, one of the town's police. Blue is instantly attracted to Lucy which she reciprocates. When Gerald turns up dead the morning after the engagement party, all fingers point toward Blue. Blue, who has no alibi save for the fact he did not kill his brother, is under the police suspicions. Lucy is enraged by the town's discrimination towards Blue. She helps Blue by investigating who the real killer is. Blue however doesn't know how he can acquit himself. It is as if someone powerful is setting him up. He can't even get through to his commanding officer to help him. Then he is suddenly attacked by a gang of bikers which he luckily fights off with the use of his training. Lucy's presence comforts him. He takes refuge of her faith in him. With the strong feelings they have for one another, they become lovers.
Because Lucy is doing a deeper investigation than the town's sheriff, she gets suddenly fired from the job. Now they both know that someone is definitely setting up Blue and they need to find that out before that person can send Blue to jail. During her stakeout, she has overheard the man who killed Gerald and luckily she had it all recorded. But she is too late for Blue has been sent to state prison. With the evidence in her hands, she calls up Blue's commanding officer and they have arranged to have Blue bailed from jail immediately despite the obscene amount of money set for his bail. Because he fails to have Blue taken care of in the prison, the man responsible for Gerald's death named Travis, decides to hostage both Blue and Lucy and kill them both. But Blue with his superb training as SEAL, is able to injure Travis first before he could harm Lucy. Now that the danger is over, Blue proposes marriage to Lucy and she accepts.
