| Plot Summary of Like Dandelion Dust |
"Jack and Molly Campbell are Joey's parents. So what if they adopted him? He's lived with them for almost all of his four years of life.
Then Joey's biological father is released from prison and wants his son back. He goes to court for custody because he never signed the papers releasing his son for adoption. The family court decides to return Joey to his biological parents after a short period of time filled with overnight visits to his new home.
Jack and Molly are heartbroken not only at the loss of their son but at the sight of bruises on his body when he returns to them after visits. Together, they come up with a desperate plan to liquidate their assets and flee the country before Joey is returned to his biological parents.
