Plot Summary of Flirting With Danger
"Professional thief Samantha Jellicoe breaks into wealthy businessman Richard Addison's mansion at Florida to steal an ancient tablet which could pay her 100 grand for a night's work. But inside the house, she discovers all her information is wrong – the owner of the house is in residence and there are many guards patrolling the area – which complicates her job. She finally realizes that someone is setting her up when she finds the tablet already missing and a bomb is wired in its place. She is about to leave the place undetected until Richard discovers her. When a guard accidentally trips over the wire and the bomb goes off, she shoves both her and Richard to a safe place. Although hurt she is able to escape without anyone on her trail. But after a few days, she is alarmed that the police are one by one discovering her hide-outs and her contacts. Because she wants to clear her name and find out who's setting her up before she is caught by the police, she proposes to Richard that they team up together to find out the real culprit.
Richard Addison wants to know who's behind the destruction of his finest art pieces in his mansion. He knows that he can trust Samantha when she saves his life the night they first met aside from his surprise that he is attracted to her. Despite his lawyer's warnings and the police constant suspicions, they start to investigate and discover that it hasn't only been the tablet that is missing. They find out that over 10 years Richard's priceless art pieces have been exchanged for faked ones and sold privately without him knowing. Richard confronts his curator and the curator admits his guilt of the act but says that he is not alone. Through the curator, they find out the whole fiasco is connected to one businessman Richard refuses to make a deal with. With the police bent on having Samantha in jail, Richard and Samantha hurry to piece in all the clues which would reveal Richard's worst enemy, an enemy who goes way back in his past and may destroy his future.
