Plot Summary of Journey To Paradise
"Running away was the only option for young and beautiful Kamala Lindsey. Kamala knew that she would rather face the unknown than stay with her guardian, her uncle, Marcus Pleyton, and continue to let him beat her until she agreed to marry a man of sixty!.

On her way through Southampton, intending to find employment as a governess in France, Kamala meets a young and handsome man named Conrad Veryan. Conrad falls off his horse, and Kamala is the only one near by to take care of him and return him back to health. This situation brings Conrad and Kamala together, with Conrad deciding to look after Kamala and making her a promise that she will never have to marry someone she doesn't want to, nor will she have to return to her abusive uncle.

Desperate to leave England and with no money, Kamala and Conrad smuggle themselves onto "The Aphrodite", a ship bound for Mexico. Upon learning that the captain has plans to search for diamonds in Mexico, Kamala and Conrad decide to join him on his search and find a fortune of their own.

What follows is a fantastic Mexican adventure, with Kamala and Conrad falling in love, finding a fortune, and escaping the clutches of The Don, a ruthless madman, intent on contolling the lives of all around him, including Conrad and Kamala."
