Plot Summary of Wanton
"Celia Carter works as a private investigator for her brother's company. She is on a crusade to help women who has been victimized by slimy men as she has been. Just a year ago, she has found out that her fiancée has only been using her to further his ambition in her family's company. She has also been dismayed and disillusioned to find out he has been the murderer of her brother. After her bad experience shedoes her best to save exploited women. So when she has taken a job to find a Ms. Hannah Barrington she puts on a disguise to penetrate Mr. Jacob's organization, where Hannah has been working. But her cover almost blows off when fellow agent Alec Sharpe intercepts her plans. Celia tries hard to ignore Alec Sharpe, who appears to be antagonistic towards her. However she can't deny the attraction that seems to sizzle when they are near each other, almost making her break her promise to swear off men.
Alec Sharpe is furious to find out Celia's dangerous assignment. As her temporary boss since her brother is on a vacation, he tries to get her off the case but Celia remains stubborn. Alec's protective streaks always shoot up where Celia is concerned. And the attraction he feels for her is uncontrollable - he wants her like no other women. Alec decides to help her with the case in exchange for sexual favors. Although Celia is reluctant to be close with men again, she agrees in order to save Hannah.

As they work together mixing business with pleasure, Celia develops a feeling deeper than lust. She has fallen in love with Alec. On the other hand, Alec doesn't want to admit his feelings for Celia. When Celia is thrust into Mr. Jacob's den, their plan turns sour. Celia is in danger when Mr. Jacob finds out that Celia is more than a model she presents herself to be. Without the mini microphone that keeps Alec informed on the events around Celia, Celia is left to fend for herself and Hannah. With the danger Celia is in, Alec finally realizes that he loves Celia and he determinedly rushes in to save her before it's too late.
